Anna Mae Rasor, 81, of Rockport, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, with family by her side.
Anna was born on September 8, 1943, in Hatfield, to Victor and Virginia Arterberry.
Anna lived a rich and meaningful life, leaving a legacy of beauty and care in her community. She was an active member of the Master Gardener Program, where her passion for gardening inspired many. Known for her green thumb and generous spirit, Anna spent countless hours tending to her gardens and sharing her knowledge with others. She was a cherished daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, a beloved figure in Spencer County, and a devoted member of her church family at Mt. Zion Church in Richland.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Virginia Arterberry, and her husband, Jim Rasor.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Rasor (wife Tammy) and Eric Rasor (wife Krista); her grandchildren, Alston Rasor (wife Reagan), Tyler Rasor and Ashton Rowan (husband Isaac), along with many friends, fellow gardeners, and her family at Mt. Zion Church who will miss her dearly.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with Pastor Jim Ahl officiating. Burial will follow at Hackleman Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Master Gardener Program in Owensboro, Kentucky, or Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.
Ann’s love for nature and her nurturing spirit will forever bloom in the hearts of those who knew her.
