David W. “Dave” Meredith, 69, of Boonville, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
David was born in Evansville on October 29, 1955, to the late Wayne and Edna (Chandler) Meredith.
David spent his life working in auto body repair, specializing in painting and was also a mechanic in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing in his early years and began opal polishing in his later years to leave behind things of beauty for those he met, and loved cooking. David was a tinkerer and inventor, a big joker, a life teacher, had a big heart, and was just an amazing man.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Meredith, whom he loved deeply, and his niece, Patrina Bolton.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Jon) Dickson and Janet Meredith; his grandchildren, Devin and Damian Dennison, and Sabrina and Tobias Sturgeon; his siblings, Carolyn (Daryl) Braun, Elmer (Annette) Meredith, Linda (Arthur) Bolton, and Pamela Meredith; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his dog Sparrow, his best friend.
Services are 12 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home- Youngblood Chapel, 36 E Market St., Chrisney, IN 47611, with Pastor Gary Meredith officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Chrisney.
