Residents of Grandview and visitors came out in force to inaugurate the town’s first annual Fall Festival and Rollin’ on the River Car Show. The riverside park played host to classic cars from across the ages, while main park facilities were filled with kids eager to enjoy their Saturday. Barrel train rides, bounce houses, a balloon artist, music, food booths, and craft vendors kept the day lively for all.

Angie Fischer of the Grandview Town Council spearheaded the event, and was on site from 4:30 a.m. to decorate the parks for the day. She hopes Grandview will make an annual tradition of this, though she noted the date may change to late spring. For now, she hopes residents had a chance to “forget their troubles of every kind and just enjoy the day.”

Barrels of fun: Among the activities available for the kids was a barrel train that provided plenty of fun rides around the park.

Jumpin’ for Joy: Inflatables were present at the park for kids to bounce around and slide down during the Fall Fest.

Balloon artist Kathy Williams was present during the fest, and spent the day making fun balloon animals and swords for the kids to enjoy.
