The South Spencer High School Class of 2023 took their first steps into the rest of their lives Saturday as they received their diplomas and kicked off celebrations heading into summer. The school band and choir began the ceremony with the National Anthem, following a presentation of the colors by Student Council Vice President Eden Risse and Class Vice President Sofi Young. The band then struck up with “Pomp and Circumstance” as the featured speakers took the stage.
