Terry Wayne Leistner, 66, passed away October 5, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
He was born in Eureka on December 22, 1955, to John and Anna Mae (Smith) Leistner.
Terry was a 1974 graduate of South Spencer High School and veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Electric. Terry was united in marriage on January 4, 2000, to Kim (Anson) Coyle.
Terry had been involved in the Cannelton Men’s Softball League and was an avid collector. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on small engines, being outdoors, spending time with grandchildren and being with his dog, Minnie, who has been lost without him.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Kim Leistner of Cannelton; children, Steve Leistner (Stacey) of Cannelton, Stephanie Thompson of Cloverport, Kentucky, Brandi Fodge (Mike), J.P Coyle, Ike Coyle, all of Tell City and Joey Coyle (Amber) of Cannelton; sisters, Marlene Murphy (Chester) Grandview and Faye Hay (Charles), Stephensprt, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Deanie Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday, October 8, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Joel Grigsby will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Lamar. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
