Rita Faye Ricker, 71, of Richland, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at her home.
She was born on September 15, 1953 in Huntingburg, to the late Herbert Jr. and Loetta (Evans) Thomas.
Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edward Brinson; granddaughter, Brianna Brinson; brother, Ricky Thomas; sister-in-law, Trisha Thomas.
Rita is survived by her husband of 24 years, Curtis Ricker Sr.; children, Dusty Brinson; Scott Brinson (Emily), Timothy Brinson (Jodi), Pamela Canary (Lee), Curtis Ricker Jr., and Jeffrey Ricker (Emily); siblings, Sherry Barnett (Randy), David Thomas, Debbie Mock (Andy), Sheila Luker, and Penny Wheeler (Darryn); grandchildren, Jade, Abigail, Jacob, Nicholas, Megan, Samuel, Kristina, Amie, Casey, Anna, Josiah, Hudson, Bryce, and Brayden; daughter-in-law, Patty Brinson; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday, January 7 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville. Brett Cieslak officiated. Burial followed in Shiloh Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners or to Shiloh Cemetery.
