Rear-end collision

Kylee Miller, 17, of Rockport, was eastbound on Base Road when the 2004 Honda ATV she was driving was struck from behind by a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 21-year-old Jacob Blair of Richland. Blair allegedly told authorities he had fallen asleep at the wheel. Both Miller and her passenger (neither of whom were wearing helmets, according to the report) were transported to the hospital for injuries they sustained in the April 21, 7:15 p.m. accident. Damages were estimated between $2,500-5,000.

Ran off road

Jordan Adams, 24, of Maceo, KY, was eastbound on SR 66 near Rockport when he lost control of his 2018 Ford Mustang and slid off the wet roadway. Adams was not injured in the April 29, 9:10 a.m. accident, but his passenger was checked out by EMS. Damages were estimated between $5,000-10,000.

Right angle collision

Julianna Allen, 24, of Evansville, was eastbound on SR 66 near Richland when, she later told authorities, a 2004 GM Sierra crossed the median from CR 900 W into her lane of travel and struck her 2015 Honda CR-V. The impact caused Allen’s vehicle to run off the roadway and down into an embankment. The driver of the GM Sierra, 45-year-old Jason Baumeister of Rockport, informed officers he did not see Allen’s vehicle before entering her path of travel. Neither driver was injured in the April 29, 2:56 p.m. collision, but total damages were estimated between $5,000-10,000.

Driver cited after rear-end collision

Jacqueline Roos, 31, of Rockport, was stopped at a red light on SR 66 when her 2010 Ford Explorer was struck from behind by a 2005 Kia Sedona driven by 38-year-old Kristoffer Malin of Owensboro, KY. Malin later told authorities he did not notice Roos had stopped; he was cited for driving while suspended. Roos complained of back and leg pain but turned down being checked out by EMS. Total damages in the April 29, 6:50 p.m. collision were estimated between $2,500-5,000.
