Strassenfest memorabilia still available

We know that everyone is already well aware of the fact that the 2020 Jasper Strassenfest has been canceled. But, as we stated in the previous press release announcing the cancellation, we encourage the general public to consider donating directly to those organizations whose food or game booths and events you would have patronized at the Strassenfest.

Although the Strassenfest will not actually be held this year, the Strassenfest Committee would still like to encourage everyone to decorate the town of Jasper and surrounding area in Strassenfest colors the week of July 27 to August 2 in celebration of our German Heritage.

Official Strassenfest flags and bunting, as well as collectible mugs and buttons featuring this year’s official Strassenfest Logo, are still available for purchase during regular business hours, Monday through Friday at the Jasper Chamber of Commerce office at the corner of Sixth and Clay Streets in Jasper. The 2020 Strassenfest mugs have been selling well, so there are a limited number of mugs that are still left, available at $30 each, buttons are available for just $1 each. Funds generated annually through the purchase of these decorative and collectible items go directly to help funding the following year’s Strassenfest celebration.

The committee has already started planning for and is looking forward to an even bigger and better Strassenfest to be held in and around downtown Jasper, August 5 through 8, 2021. Be sure to follow the Strassenfest Facebook page and website, jasperstrassenfest.org, for future updates about next year’s festival.

Respectfully submitted,

BOB BLEEMEL, Marketing and Media Chairman
