Larry Joe Harpenau, 72, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
He was born on September 16, 1951, the son of Victor B. and Mary Catherine (Kuntz) Harpenau.
Larry was a 1969 graduate of Perry Central High School. He was united in marriage with Milly Seifrig on September 1, 1973, and together they shared 50 wonderful years together. His work history included farming and he later retired from J.H. Rudolph.
Larry was a member of the National Guard. He liked to golf, hunt and camp, go to car shows, and take tractor rides. Larry enjoyed his Chevelle but most importantly the time spent with family and his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Milly Harpenau; sons, Greg Harpenau of Tell City, Bart Harpenau (Cheri) of Troy and Luke Harpenau of Troy; sisters, Eileen Burnette of Tell City and Joyce Mulzer (Jim) of Newburgh; and his four grandchildren, Cohen, Slade, Haylen and Henley.
In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Clem Harpenau.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. CST on Wednesday, November 29, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. CST on Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
