Andrew J. Tindle, 74, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 14, 1949, to Woodrow and Mary Katherine (Frazier) Tindle.
Andy was an ordained minister, having ministered at The Church of The Nazarene, Rockport First Baptist Church, and Lincoln Hills Baptist Church. Andy served the Lord with all his heart. Retired from Peerless Pottery in Rockport after 31 years of service, he was a man of many trades and he most of all loved spending time with his family and his dog, Willow Grace Tindle. He also loved to play golf, go camping, and work on cars. Andy had an amazing sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his son, Bobby, who passed away in 2023.
Andy is survived by his wife, Margaret Tindle; his children, Kimberely Weatherholt, Stacy Ball and her husband, Eric, and Andrea VanWinkle and her husband, Greg; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Katelyn, Drew, Madison, Mia, Bentley, Skyler, and Carly; 12 great grandchildren; his brothers, Gene Tindle, Raymond Tindle, and Woodrow “Woody” Tindle; and his sisters, Della Mae Kokomoore and Shirley Cooper.
Services were held Friday, May 10, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with Pastor Brett Cieslack officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
