Anna E. Schoolcraft, 84, of Rockport passed away on Wednesday, January 24 at her home surrounded by family.

Anna was born on October 12, 1939, in Rockport to the late Otto and Mary P. (Payne) Gasaway.

She attended Bethel Christian Center in Reo and had worked at the Christian Resource Center in Rockport for 22 years.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, collecting buttons and marbles, working puzzles, quilting, and sitting on her swing, but most of all, she loved her kids and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her grandson, James Woolsey; and her brothers, John Henry Gasaway, William Earnest Gasaway, Clayton Gasaway, James Gasaway, Allen Gasaway, Donald Gasaway, and Hobert Gasaway.

She is survived by her husband, Jarvis Schoolcraft, whom she married on April 4, 1964; her daughter, Yvonna Thomason; sons, Kim Allen Woolsey (Stacey) and James E. Woolsey (Susan); grandchildren, Samantha Moore (Mike), Kara Thomason, Kendra Williams (Tom), Tiffani Woolsey, and Brittany Guffy; great-grandchildren, Alexis Ellerbrooke, Bryden Woolsey, Chance Moore, Savannah Moore, Corey Willis, Korbin Lester, Aiva Lester, Xavier Williams, Infinitie Planke, and Rayvlyn Rose Planke and great-great grandchild, Presley Woolsey.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 A.M., with Pastor Walter Phillips officiating.

Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport has been entrusted with care.
