Another wave of heavy snowfall blanketed Spencer County last week. Flurries began early on Tuesday, abated for a brief sunny interlude and resumed snowfall that night and into Wednesday. While schools were obliged to close as a precaution, this bout of winter weather was at least limited to powdery snow with minimal ice. Bitter cold ensured that what snow did fall persisted and kept slick spots a concern across the county.
