Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Memorial Hospital medical practice clinics, and all Memorial providers will remain in-network for members of Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance plans. The negotiation between Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center and Anthem has been finalized.

“We want you, our patients, to know how thankful Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is for your support and patience during this challenging time and, as always, for trusting us with your health care needs. We are grateful you stood by us as we worked to secure fair terms with Anthem, ensuring your continued ability to receive the highest-quality care at an affordable cost closer to home. While Memorial will receive payment increases for both inpatient and outpatient services, Memorial will remain the low cost provider in the region,” said E. Kyle Bennett, President and CEO of Memorial Hospital.

As a regional health center with approximately 1,800 employees and approximately 250 physicians and advanced practice providers on the Medical Staff, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center serves residents of eight counties in southwestern Indiana with medical offices located in Bristow, Dale, Ferdinand, French Lick, Holland, Huntingburg, Jasper, Loogootee, Montgomery, Petersburg, Santa Claus, Shoals, and Washington. Annually, the hospital’s staff provides medical care for approximately 6,600 inpatients, 250,000 outpatients, 29,000 emergency patients, and 950 newborns.
