At the recent, annual, state-called Indiana Election Division conference, Spencer County Clerk Sara J. Arnold was sworn in as President of the Association of Clerks of Circuit Courts of Indiana. Her term begins January 1 and lasts one year. She was sworn in by out-going President Shelley Mawhorter, Noble County Clerk. Other officers sworn in were Jay Phelps, Bartholomew County, vice-president, Myla Eldridge, Marion County, secretary and Shelley Septer, Huntington County, treasurer.
As ACCCI President, Arnold will be responsible for coordinating with the Clerk’s legislative committee to support and lobby the state legislature on clerk, election, and child support initiatives, plan the annual conference with State Board of Accounts, attend and give input at state judicial meetings on administration and protective order policies, provide support and advice to other clerks and other duties.
Arnold was caucused in as Spencer County Clerk in 2015 and elected in 2016. Arnold joined the Clerk’s Association Executive Board in 2018.
