Arthur Gail Beatty, 77, of Richland, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at home surrounded by family and friends.
Gail was born in Rockvale, Kentucky, on January 23, 1945, to Edgar M. and Pauline Mattingly Beatty.
He was proud and loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He took so much pride in his family and devoted his life to them.
Gail was an over-the-road truck driver for 38 years and a Vietnam Veteran who served in Cameron Bay Vietnam. He was a member of the Rockport American Legion, Boonville VFW, and Richland City 702 Masonic Lodge. Gail was blessed with a large and loving family. He was an avid classic car enthusiast. He spent many hours in his garage with Jeff and Coltin building motors and hotrods. He enjoyed the quality time with his “buddies”.
Gail was very passionate about life; he was someone you could go to for anything without judgment. He saw the good in everyone and never met a stranger. He will be remembered by family and friends as an honest, wonderful, loving soul with a beautiful heart. He lived life to the fullest with many stories to tell. He will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of his loved ones.
Gail is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ramona Weinbach Beatty of Richland; his children, Jeff Beatty (Lori) and Angela Beatty Ward (Eddie); grandchildren, Samantha Beatty, Martin Winkler, Coltin Winkler, Cole Beatty and Cage Beatty; siblings, Dale Beatty, Linda (Beatty) Schmidt and Molly (Beatty) Magill; and great-grandchildren, Daylinn, Khloe and Presley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Pauline Beatty, and his grandson, Austin J. Ball.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 2 p.m., at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Rev. Carl Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield.
