Both county high schools played host to representatives from across the area’s economic spectrum Thursday for the second annual Aspire Spencer County event. Students were split off into small groups and sent to meet local professionals in a “speed dating” style of quick introductions and questions. This allowed each student a chance for one-one-one conversations at each table. Representatives from many career fields from many different industries and organizations, so there were plenty of opportunities for students to learn how to both prepare for those jobs and how those positions might be secured. Sponsors for this year’s Aspire Spencer County included: Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, Superior Ag, Freedom Bank, DJ Sells Houses/Denise Jarboe, Masterbrand, Dr. Susan Martin, Key Associates/Rob Schulte, PSC Fiber and Nix Industrial.
