Betty M. Stallings, 96, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020. at Millers Merry Manor in Rockport.
Betty was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on October 11, 1924, to Nathaniel and Clara (Leachman) Anderson.
She had been a teacher for many years, retiring from St. Bernard Catholic School.
Betty was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Altar Society, Tri-Kappa, and the Rockport American Legion Post 254 Ladies Auxiliary.
Betty enjoyed volunteering at Millers Merry Manor for many years. She also enjoyed crafts, especially quilting and knitting.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Stallings; her son, Scott Stallings; two children in infancy; and her brother, Henry Anderson.
Betty is survived by her children, Byron Stallings and his wife, Kim, of Rockport, and Sarah Dougan and her husband, Neal, of Chrisney; her grandchildren, Emma Stallings, Mallory Duvall (Logan), Samantha Dougan (Blake Painter); and her great-grandchildren, Paisley Painter and Blake Duvall.
A private graveside service was held at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Rockport.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport was entrusted with care.
