Bonnie Jean Gasaway, 79, of Rockport, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at The Waters of Rockport.
Bonnie was born in Cannelton on October 27, 1943, to the late Nobel and Francis (Swink) Sturgeon.
Bonnie loved animals, especially her cats and dogs, loved pro wrestling, but loved her family above all.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Donnie” Gasaway, Sr., and her brothers, Waymond and Eddie Sturgeon.
She is survived by her children, Donald “Don” Gasaway, Jr. (Kristen Dickson) and Julie Bidwell; her grandchildren, Crystal Bidwell and Brandon Bidwell (Amy); her great-grandchildren, Uriah James Hill, Daniel Clayton Bidwell and Lily Jane Bidwell; her sister, Helen Akers (Melvin); and her nieces.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Ralph Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
