Brandon Chester Gogel, 44, passed away peacefully at his home in Blairsville on Monday, July 13, 2020, after a year battle with colon cancer.
He was born on June 25, 1976.
Brandon was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of so many with his unconditional love, generosity, and kindness. He loved spending time with family and grandchildren and enjoyed the outdoors, grilling, golfing, fishing, and hunting. He will be deeply missed.
Surviving are his wife, Dee Ann Gogel; three stepchildren, Kristen Lupfer (spouse, Jason), Brittany Peyton (spouse, Conrad) and Ryan Dickson; four grandchildren, Julian Lupfer, Adrian Lupfer, Payton Dickson and Camden Dickson; his parents, Rick Gogel (Devona) and Jenny King (Hank); brothers, Josh and Nick Gogel; sisters, Trish Gogel and Tiffany Lashley; six half-brothers and -sisters, Jessica Watson, Samantha Theising, Katelyn Clements, Jolene Casteel, Dylan Gogel and Devon Gogel; and 19 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Brandon Gogel’s life was held on Friday, July 24 at the Mariah Hill Conservation Club.
In place of flowers or donations, Brandon’s family asks that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchildren, or a friend to let them know you love them — time waits for no one.
