Carl Martin, 90, of Hatfield, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.
Carl was born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee on April 20, 1933, to the late Elbert and Ina (Kirkland) Martin.
Carl had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He had worked for J.A. Jones as a concrete foreman, building dams across the United States before going to work at ALCOA, retiring in 1995 after nearly 30 years of service. He was also a member of Eureka Masonic Lodge No. 397.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Martin, and his son, Mike Martin.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn McGinnis and her husband, Wesley, of Hatfield, Greg Martin and his wife, Sandra, of Hatfield and Pamela Martin of Grandview; his grandchildren, Steve McGinnis, Mercedez Suarez, Jessica McGinnis and Mateo Suarez.
A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, May 28, at Larkin Baptist Church, 2531 Old State Rd. 45, Rockport, with Pastor Paul Gatewood officiating.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport was entrusted with care.
