Chester L. Goldman, 95, of Richland, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Chester was born in Richland on October 2, 1928, to Lawrence and Lois (Lynch) Goldman.
Chester was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Air Force and was a member of Rockport American Legion Post 254. He retired from George Koch & Sons in 1991, where he had worked as a machinist and a manager of the machinist shop. In his free time, Chester enjoyed farming, fishing, boating, and going to Florida.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, whom he married in Ebenezer Church on June 21, 1953; his grandson, Christopher Michael Goldman; and his sister-in-law, Ellinor Goldman.
He is survived by his children, James E. Goldman and his wife, Akemi, Karlena Bates, Kenneth Goldman and his wife, Janet, and Robert Allen Goldman and his wife, Eller; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Charles Goldman.
Services were 12 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Matt Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Richland, with military honors.
Visitation was 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, and 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
