Clara H. Harvey, 78, of Rockport, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Clara was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on March 11, 1945, to the late B. J. and Mary (Cecil) Higdon.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and had retired from General Electric in Owensboro, Kentucky. Clara enjoyed being outdoors in her flower garden and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brother, James E. Higdon; and her sisters, Florence Hurm and Opal Bryant.
Clara is survived by her husband, Ron Harvey, of Rockport; her son, Rod Harvey and his fiancé, Nedra Schaefer; her grandchildren, Matt Harvey and his wife, Hillary; and Lena Schaefer; her great-granddaughter, Nolie Harvey; her siblings, Ernest Bugs Higdon and his wife, Dorothy; Martha Decker and her husband, Maurice; Jo Ann Hagan and her husband, Dennis; Joe Higdon and his wife, Debbie; and Bill Higdon and his wife, Lori; her brother-in-law, Kenny Bryant; and her sister-in-law, Susie Higdon.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday, November 6, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, with Father Ron Krelein officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 until 6 p.m., Sunday, November 5, and from 9 until 9:45 a.m. Monday, November 6, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
