During his investigation, Deputy Howard located drug paraphernalia, marijuana, scales, numerous small plastic bags and methamphetamine. Over $900 was also found in the same location as the drug items and was seized as well. Approximately 6.4 grams of methamphetamine and several pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes were seized in the traffic stop.
Arrested was Kody D. Kress of Dale, who has been charged with Possession of Marijuana (class B misdemeanor); Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia (all level 6 felonies); Dealing in Marijuana (class A misdemeanor); and Dealing in Methamphetamine (level 3 felony).
“I commend Deputy Richard Howard and his diligent work ethic. This arrest has taken drugs off the streets of Spencer County. Our agency continues to fight the war on drugs, and unfortunately this is one of many recent drug arrests. I commend all our law enforcement officers for continuing this endless task and making our communities safer,” Spencer County Sheriff Kelli Reinke said.
