David A. Schweizer, 53, of Rockport, found his peace on May 28, 2024.
David was born on September 11, 1970, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Joe and Henrietta Schweizer of Rockport.
David was an amazing artist, he loved to paint and draw, and did great auto body work. He loved to play heavy metal music on his guitar, attend drag races with his father, go to car shows to look at old cars and take long motorcycle rides with his wife, Laura. His family was most important to him. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his parents.
David was an unforgettable person who fought hard to survive his many health issues and had a great sense of humor.
David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Marjorie Schweizer, as well as his maternal grandparents, David and Marie Woodward.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; his children Aimee Schweizer Cole (Brian) of Rockport, Hunter Schweizer of Maceo and Autumn Schweizer of Maceo, as well as his grandchildren, Aubrey Harris, Reese and Jade Ambrose, Justin Cole, and Laila and Hendrix Schweizer; and one great-grandson Beckham Cole.
Services for David will be held from 12 until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. All are welcome to attend.
