Debra K. Stevenson, 70, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Debi was an active member at her church, Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was a wonderful witness for Christ and served Him well for many years. She was able to touch and impact many people during her time on earth with her faith in God and her testimony.
Debi worked as a registered nurse for almost 40 years before retiring. She had an affinity for a good honeybun and ate one any chance she had. Debi was well loved by all her friends and family and will be missed greatly.
Debi was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Contreras.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Stevenson and his children, Valerie Vogel and Greg Stevenson; her son, Dan Thacker (Teresa) of Indianapolis; her daughter, Brandy Thacker of Indianapolis; her mother, Esther Suter; her sisters, Freda Marsh and Holly Jones; 18 wonderful grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Joe Wilson officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
