Delores Faye Dellamorta, 77, of Gentryville, died Saturday, March 7, 2020, at home.
She was born September 24, 1942, in Buffaloville, to Oscar and Sally (Swearingen) Foerster. She married Ralph Dellamorta in 1976 at Lincoln City.
A homemaker most of her life, she was a member of Santa Claus United Methodist Church and the Dale Optimist Club. She loved spending time with her family and was a doting mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her daughters, Tamara Bowling and her husband, Nathan, of Gentryville, and Lisa Beard of Ferdinand; six grandchildren, Michael (Jaimee) Bowling, Rhonda (Patrick) Byrd, Brandon Beard, Bryce Beard, Heather Morrison, and Daniel (Kendra) Bowling; 14 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Nathan, Evan, Alex, Tyler, Ian, Lillian, Anna, Trason, Lyric, Lennox, Tamara, Laiken, and Tanner; two sisters, Margaret Foerster of Dale and Sharon Bender of Santa Claus; two brothers, Charles Foerster of Aurora, IL, and Jim Foerster of Puryear, TN; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Dellamorta, who died in 1994; her son, Guy Justin Dellamorta, who died in 1979; sister, Patricia Schleiss; and brother, Ben Foerster.
Funeral services for Delores Dellamorta will be held Wednesday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at Santa Claus United Methodist Church. Pastor Tim Ahlemeyer will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the church, and from 9 a.m. until the funeral service on Wednesday. All times are Central.
Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rock Steady Boxing program at the Tri-County Y.M.C.A. in Ferdinand.
