Diane P. Dauby, 78, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born August 23, 1944, in Tell City to Oscar and Cornelia (Doogs) Ziegelgruber.
Diane graduated from Tell City High School in 1962. She married Kenneth H. Dauby on September 1, 1962. They shared 46 wonderful years together.
Diane was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She enjoyed building puzzles, watching IU basketball and any sport her grandchildren were participating in. You were guaranteed to find her cheering them on from the stands.
She loved her family deeply and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her, especially her family: her children, Phyllis LaGrange (Timothy), Todd Dauby (Debbie), and Brad Dauby (Jamie), all of Tell City; her daughter-in-law, Kelly Dauby; her siblings, Kenny Ziegelgruber (Linda), Bonnie Cravens (Frank), both of Tell City, and Linda Tempel of Bloomington; her 12 grandchildren, Heath LaGrange, Phillip Dauby, Adam Dauby, Elizabeth Gill, Mallory Dauby, Emily George, Andrew Dauby, Shelby Cullen, Noah Cullen, Hunter Dauby, Trey Dauby, and Megan Shaw; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny and her son, Jeffrey Dauby.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, May 1, in St. Marks Catholic Church with Fr. Kolbe Wolniakowski officiating. Burial followed in St. Marks Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
