Don W. Masterson, 84, of Grandview, passed away at his home on Monday, May 8, 2023.
He was born on May 1, 1939, to the late Raleigh T. Masterson and E. Bernadine Smith Masterson.
Don was a farmer and an avid tractor puller with a career that spanned nearly six decades. He also sold Pioneer Seed for over 40 years. Don’s accomplishments include Louisville National Farm Machinery Show 10,000 pro stock eleven-time grand champion along with multiple Pro Pulling League wins over the years with his tractor, Tinker Toy. He participated in tractor pulls all over the USA.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Beverly Porter Masterson; children Gwen (Rick) Mundy, Gay (Leslie) Banks, Gina (Jim) Kost, and Kevin (Angie) Masterson; his sister LaVerna (Ervin) Price; grandchildren, Brandon Banks, Lauren Carpenter, Jennah Webb, Luke Meredith, Felicia Stamper, Dwight Kost, Jennifer Creeden, Emma Mundy, and Kale, Bryn and Knox Masterson; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 4 to 8 p.m. CDT and Saturday May 13, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, Rockport, with the service immediately following at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
