Dorothy K. Griepenstroh, 91, died peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at her home.
She was born December 30, 1928, in Tell City to the late Adolph and Martha Nuetzel Lambeck.
A 1945 graduate of Troy High School, she married Ralph Griepenstroh in 1947. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She retired from General Electric and after retirement worked at Best Chairs. She loved to play cards, cook, spend time with family, read and her church, Trinity United Church of Christ.
She was blessed to be visited by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Ann (Roger) Guth of Rockport; sons, Tom (Karen) Griepenstroh of Lamar and Joe Griepenstroh of Rockport; a sister, Mildred Werne of Tell City; grandchildren, Angela (Dale) English, Mike (Sara) Guth, Ryan (Tish) Griepenstroh, Wayne Griepenstroh, Brian (Courtney) Guth, Jeremy (Stephanie) Lindsey, Tiffany Gaines; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson’s wife, Lindsey Griepenstroh, and a former daughter-in-law, Rita Lindsey.
Funeral services for Dorothy Griepenstroh were held Monday, May 25, at Trinity United Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
