Dorothy P. Evans, 92, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville.
Dorothy was born in Midway, on July 27, 1929, to the late Clarence and Florence Lindsey.
She was a member of Larkin Baptist Church.
Dorothy was a graduate of Rockport High School and had attended Lockyear Business College. She had worked at Toppers Restaurant and the Executive Inn.
She is survived by her siblings, Norman Lindsey and his wife, Suzette, Kathy McDurmon and her husband, Jim, and Gyneth Taylor; her grandchildren, Russell Hearth, Kim Webb, Jason Shirel, Pete Evans and Kenny Evans and his wife, Jordan; eight great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Evans; her children, Jesse Ray Evans, Jerry Wayne Evans and Peggy Lohman; her granddaughter, Tammy Hearth; and her siblings, Enos Lindsey, Curtis Lindsey, Marion Cecil Lindsey, Clarence Lindsey Jr., Kermit Lindsey Sr., Betty Spurlock, Irene Geer and Shirley Oldham.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 20, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will follow in Hackleman Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
