Barricaded incident in Huntingburg ends peacefully
Last Thursday at approximately 4:30 p.m., troopers from the Indiana State Police, Jasper Post were asked to assist the Huntingburg Police Department serve felony warrants on Jesse Hall, of 202 East 22nd Street in Huntingburg. Huntingburg Police advised that the warrants were issued in response to an incident that had been reported to them earlier in the day. Once the warrants were issued, Huntingburg Police made contact with Hall. At this time Huntingburg Police Officers asked him to turn himself in, but Hall allegedly refused. Indiana State Police then responded and began negotiating with Hall to surrender himself peacefully. At approximately 8:30 p.m., after several hours of negotiations, Hall surrendered himself without incident.
Assisting at the scene were Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Huntingburg Police Department and Memorial EMS.

Man arrested for child molesting
Jasper Police investigated a case of inappropriate touching of a juvenile victim last week. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that probable cause existed to arrest 34-year-old Scott A. Moore of Jasper for child molesting, a level 1 felony, and sexual battery, a level 6 felony. Moore was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 4, and was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center on the charges. Jasper Police Department was assisted by Indiana State Police.
