Elijah Scott Sanders, 25, of Richland passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Elijah was born in Evansville on October 19, 1997, to Wesley Sanders and Lori (Clark) Downs.
Elijah had been the kitchen manager at Casey’s in Newburgh. He loved riding motorcycles, gaming, playing paintball, playing cards, and his pet rats.
Elijah is preceded in death by his Papaw Bill, Bill Sanders; his grammy, Paula Smith; and his uncle, Christopher Sanders.
He is survived by his father, Wesley Sanders, of Newburgh; his mother, Lori Downs (Dad Zack) of Richland; sister, Skyla Downs, of Richland; brother, Zackary Downs of Richland; mimi, Cindy Sanders, of Newburgh; papaw and mamaw, Frankie and Cathy Downs of Richland; grandfather, Jeff Clark of Dale; papaw, Robert Smith, of Boonville; uncles, Jimmy Downs and John Mason; cousin, Brylee Sanders; and many other cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
