Everett Dale Atchison, Sr., 70, of Lamar, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home.
Everett was born in Rockport on September 21, 1953, to Roger and Nellie Mae (Burden) Atchison.
Everett had been a truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, loved the outdoors, riding his tractor, and racing RC cars. He was also a member of the Santa Claus Sons of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Mae Atchison; his granddaughter, Letty Atchison; his brothers, Donald, and Dewey Atchison; and his sister, Tammy Atchison.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Dockemeyer) Atchison; his children, Theresa Shourds, and Dale Atchison and his wife, Rachel; his grandchildren, Reily Froeschl and her husband, Oliver; Daley Atchison, Clancy Atchison, Gracie Shourds, Mason Shourds and Emmie Shourds; his great-grandson, Maxwell Froeschl; and his beloved dog, Rudy.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hackleman Cemetery or the family to help with funeral expenses.
