Lincoln State Park is planning some fun autumn events for families to enjoy this month.
Every Saturday in October, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the public is invited to stop by the Spring Shelter in the Troy Road picnic area at the park to purchase pumpkins and craft bags. Each bag will have three activities. Pumpkins will cost $3 and craft bags are $1 each. Tables will be available, but the park encourages participants to take their pumpkins and crafts back to their homes or campsites. Pumpkins were donated to the Friends of Lincoln State Park by Pumpkins ‘n More.
Hours have been expanded this fall in order to keep crowding to a minimum; park officials ask patrons to take advantage of the extra time to help facilitate social distancing.
All proceeds will benefit the park and the Friends of Lincoln State Park.
Trick-or-treating will be limited to campers and cabin guests only (overnight guests), between 4:30-6:30 p.m.
All celebrations at Lincoln State Park will incorporate safety guidelines developed in conjunction with the State’s COVID-19 Executive Orders and Back-On-Track Plan.
Activities are always subject to change. Visit the DNR calendar at www.calendar.dnr.in.gov for an updated listing of events.
