The Fall tax deadline for Spencer County property owners is Tuesday, November 12. The Spencer County Treasurer’s office will be open daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Taxpayers are asked to bring their tax bills with them for accuracy and to shorten any waiting time. There will be extended hours on November 12 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. for taxpayers’ convenience.
Taxpayers may also make their payment by mail to Spencer County Treasurer, 200 Main St. Room 7, Rockport, Indiana 47635. Payments postmarked with the November 12, 2019 deadline date will be considered on-time. Taxpayers are reminded to send a self-addressed stamped envelope if wanting a return receipt.
Credit/Debit card payments or electronic check payments may be made online at www.spencercounty.in.gov or by calling 866-518-2303. Note that the vendor charges a fee of 2.95% of the tax amount.
Also, after-hours, payments may be dropped in a secure drop box on the river side (east side) of the Courthouse.
