Gail Heichelbech, 65, of Ferdinand, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2024 at Community Hospital North Campus in Indianapolis.
Gail was born September 2, 1959, in Huntingburg to Gerald and Nancy (Small) Smith. She married Rich Heichelbech on July 6, 1987 in Owensboro. Gail was an outgoing people person who enjoyed being with friends and family. She loved watching her grandkid’s sports teams.
She is survived by her husband, Rich Heichelbech of Ferdinand; three daughters, Nicole (Brad) Fischer and Dawn (Chris) Tretter both of Ferdinand, and Tracy (Dean) Oser of Grandview; her parents, Gerald and Nancy Smith of Holland; two brothers, Ken (Marilyn) Smith and Eric (Staci) Smith, both of Holland; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, September 16 at 1 p.m. ET at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in Mayo Duff Cemetery.
