This high school Patriot Swimmer will continue on as a Patriot college, not only in spirit but the Cumberlands Mascot is ironically a Patriot. So it seems his school colors transition should go just swimmingly as he won’t need a change of wardrobe. He will continue on in red, white and blue.

Gavin has been swimming for 8 years, through school and club swimming. He is most excited about continuing on and getting to meet a new group of people and expanding his swimming family.

He plans to study coaching, his love for swimming and the thought of helping others reach their athletic goals has much to do with that decision.

Head Swimming coach Gary Ayer Jr. says that Gavin is an excellent swimmer. Often times club swimmers find difficulties in fitting into the whole “team concept”, but Gavin did very well with proving that stigma wrong, by being not just a great athlete, but great teammate as well.

Gavin is quite the decorated swimmer, he will be leaving quite the legacy at Heritage Hills. Below is the list of records the Gavin currently holds:

200 Medley Relay Team (1:39.98)
400 Free Relay Team (3:15.47)
200 IM (2:01.38)
100 Fly (52.97)
500 Free (4:52.16)
100 Back (54.88)

Fuchs also holds 2 PAC records along with a relay team record:
100 Fly
100 Back
400 Free Relay Team
