Gerald Fay Fulks, 94 of Eureka, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1930, to Alva and Margaret Fulks, Gerald was a lifelong resident of Eureka.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing baseball. He was a proud member of the Junior American Legion team and was the last surviving member of the Eureka Aces baseball team.

In 1952, Gerald enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country for four years. In 1953, he married his childhood sweetheart, Wanda Jean Green. After completing his military service, the couple returned to Eureka to build their life together.

Gerald worked at the Chrysler Auto Plant in Evansville until production relocated to St. Louis. He then joined Whirlpool Corporation, where he remained until his retirement in 1994. He found great joy in gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. One of his greatest passions was collecting, buying and selling — he was a true picker, though he often collected more than he sold.

Gerald is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Wanda Fulks; daughter Cindy Rice; sons Randy (Lisa) Fulks and Robert (Lori) Fulks; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Margaret Fulks; brothers, Allen, Henry (Pud), Jack, and Clay; sisters, Marie Goodwin and Marge Green; son, Bret Fulks; grandson Daniel Fulks; great-grandson Dillion Somers and son in-law Terry Rice.

Boultinghouse Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care and arrangements. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Condolences can be made to the family at www.BoultinghouseFuneralHome.com.
