Geraldine B. Shrode, 98, of Parkersburg, Illinois, formerly of Rockport, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at her home.
Geraldine was born in Akron, Ohio, on February 15, 1923, to the late Charles and Pauline Blythe.
She was a graduate of Rockport High School and a member of the marching band.
Geraldine had been a homemaker and a data processing technician for Teletype.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Shrode.
She is survived by her son, William Robert “Bill” Shrode and his wife Muriel, of Parkersburg, IL; her brothers, James Blythe, Norwood Blythe and Robert Blythe; extended family and friends.
A family memorial service was held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Richland. Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport, has been entrusted with care.
