Grace Marie Weatherholt, 92, of Rockport passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, surrounded by family.
Grace was born in Gatchel on September 1, 1931, to the late David and Lala (Snider) Thomas.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Gentryville. Grace loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She also loved IU basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, E.K. Weatherholt; her son, Roger Weatherholt and five infant children; her great-grandsons, William Arthur E. Beam and B.J. Johnson; two brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Hargitt, Dennis Weatherholt and his wife, Carla, Sandra Beam, Brenda Johnson and her husband, Harold, Kenneth Weatherholt and his wife, Dawn, and Tim Weatherholt; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Winfield Thomas.
Services are 11 a.m., Monday, September 2 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with Pastor Charlotte Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
