Henry A. Mangel, 35 of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly from Saint Meinrad, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Henry was born in Jasper, October 5, 1986, to the late Don Mangel and Star (Ron) Scherzer. He was united in marriage with Megan Lawson, August 24, 2013. He attended Little Flock Baptist Church, and worked as a Sales and Service Technician for Overhead Door Company of Louisville.
Henry always brought a smile to anyone he would meet and was always there to help someone in a time of need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Mangel; brother, TJ Scherzer; nephew, Peyton Frick, and grandparents.
Carrying on Henry’s legacy are his loving wife, Megan Mangel; two daughters, Emma and Ava Mangel, Louisville; mother, Star Scherzer (Ron), Saint Meinrad; three sisters, Misty Mangel, Bristow, Toni Frick (Ben), Ferdinand and Meredith Kline (Cole), Dale; two brothers, Mathew Scherzer (Taylor), Santa Claus and Paul Brandon Scherzer (Kyla), Lincoln City; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation for Henry will be from 1-8 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 23 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, and 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, at Little Flock Baptist Church, 5510 North Preston Highway, Louisville, with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery, Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
