James M. “Jim” Bohne, age 70 of St. Anthony, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 26, 2020, at home.
Jim was born on June 16, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Martin and Berneda (Hentrup) Bohne. He married Barbara Berg on June 21, 1969, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
He worked for Jasper Wood Products for over 34 years.
Jim was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Bohne, St. Anthony; three children, Brian Bohne, St. Anthony, Sandra Huff (Brian), New Albany and David Bohne, St. Anthony; one grandson, Brian Huff Jr.; one brother, Kenny Bohne (Debbie), New Albany; three sisters; Patty McIntyre (Larry), Sellersburg, Angie Sturms (Jerry Spears), Greenville and Mary Rose Adams (Kenny), Louisville, KY.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Dennis Bohne.
A Mass of Christian burial for James M. Bohne will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required.
A visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28, at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service time at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday.
