James W. Roessler, 92, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 in Evansville.
Born September 30, 1929 in Fulda, he was the son of the late Vernon and Meta (Druschel) Roessler. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Griepenstroh on August 26, 1951.
James was a Marine veteran during the Korean Conflict and a retired Operations Manager from Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company (SIGECO). He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Fulda, Reed Masonic Lodge #316 and the Hadi Shrine Temple of Evansville. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a Ham radio operator and enjoyed gardening, tinkering, beekeeping and story telling.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn (Griepenstroh) Roessler; a daughter, Patricia (Mark) Peterson of Chicago, Illinois; a son, Ron (Gerianne) Roessler of Indianapolis; sisters, Virginia Polster of Santa Claus and Elsa Duncan of Gainsville, Florida; grandchildren, JP Hus, Steven (Megan) Hus and Meghann Roessler; great-grandchildren, Gracen, Owen and Logan, along with multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Fulda, with Pastor Derek Roe officiating. Burial to follow in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
