Jamie L. Sallee, 90, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at HCA- North Cypress Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Jamie was born in Rockport on August 29, 1930, to Lee and Myrtle Beckort.
Jamie was a graduate of Rockport High School. She had worked as a secretary for McCallister Machinery of Indianapolis, and owned and operated Apartments R Us in Houston for over 20 years.
Jamie was a woman of faith. She was also an active member of PWP and was an avid square dancer for many years.
In addition to her parents, Jamie was preceded in death by her sisters, Ola Marie Beckort, Cora Lee Duvall, Carmen Louise Gunn and Bernice Jeanette Beckort.
Jamie is survived by her son, Charles Sallee and his wife, Debra; her daughter, Sabrina Giomassis and her husband, Thomas; her grandchildren, Robert Allen, C. Matthew Sallee and his wife, Erika, Marc Sallee and his wife, Brittany, Kimon Giomassis, and Philip Giomassis; her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Sallee, Sydney Sallee and Blakely Sallee.
Services are 1 p.m., Thursday, March 18, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating. Burial will follow in Alexander Cemetery in Patronville.
Visitation is 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
