Joseph “Joe” Glenn DeFur, 52, of Richland, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Joe was born in Goshen on January 29, 1972, to the late Lloyd Glenn DeFur and Teresa M. (Radigan) McIntosh.
Joe had worked at Toyota in Princeton for 24 years. He enjoyed running, fishing, and traveling with his family. Joe was a collector of many things and loved being outdoors on the family property with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brother, Jonathon DeFur.
Joe is survived by his wife, April DeFur; his children, Ellisa Malone and her husband, Ethan, and Justin DeFur; his granddaughter, Kate Malone; his sister, Joanie Garrett and her husband, Steve; his stepfather, Rodney McIntosh; his honorary brothers, Jeremy Price and his wife, Jodie, and Chad Sawyer and his wife, Becky, and; his nieces and nephews, Mirra, Julia, Eric, Bobby, Chelsea, Taylor and Mattison.
Services are 10 a.m., Friday, September 6, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Matt Merriman officiating, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Poseyville Cemetery in Poseyville.
Visitation is 2 until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 5, and 9 until 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross in honor of Joe, as he was a frequent blood donor.
