Kerry Lee Pounds, 64, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville.
Kerry was born on April 25, 1960, to Larry G. and Susan J. (Miller) Pounds in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Kerry had been an iron worker for many years and was a member of Local 103 Ironworkers of Evansville. Kerry loved his family and spending time on the farm with his dogs Doc and Buster. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on racing go-karts and farm equipment.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Axton Pounds, and siblings Lisa Kay Pounds and Tracy Kent Pounds.
Kerry is survived by his children, Justin Pounds (Kim) of Rockport, Amanda Embry of Tampa, FL, Ben Embry of Rockport, and Joseph Keown of Rockport; grandchildren Brent Galloway and Mollie Pounds; great-grandchildren Anthony Galloway, Roman Galloway, and Beckham Cole, along with extended family and close friends.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Tim Pounds officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, and 12 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home.
