Lawrence “Bob” “Larry” Robert Williams, 92, of Chandler, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Bob was born in Indianapolis on June 1, 1930, to Lawrence Ray Williams and Flora M. Williams-Chapman.

Bob graduated from Rockport High School in 1948. He served in the United States Navy and Navy Reserves as a firefighter. He was a long-time member and deacon of Cypress Baptist Church in Boonville. He retired from Whirlpool after 40 years of service. 

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting arrowheads and antique clocks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Phil Williams.

Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy M. Williams of Chandler; children, Gary Williams of Chandler, Steve Williams and his wife, Robin of Newburgh, and Becky Hills and her husband, Kevin of Chandler; grandchildren, Nicky Burton (Jeff), Brent Williams (Charis), Jason Williams (Megan), Jennifer Gorman (Jeremy), Mike Williams (Krista), Aaron Hills (Ashley), and Nathan Hills (Kellie Inouye); great-grandchildren, Alayna Burton, Cooper Williams, Sara Burton-Thomasson (Riley); Kennedy Williams, Colby Burton, Sayla Williams, Simone Williams, Surie Jo Williams, Kingston Williams, Kad Williams, Yordi Williams, Ethan Hills and Emilia Hills.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel in Chandler, with Pastor J.R. Hume officiating. Entombment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, and again from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
