Lincoln Trail Elementary School was among 12 schools honored last Monday by the Indiana Department of Education during a ceremony in Indianapolis for receiving a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School Award.
Lincoln Trail Elementary School was recognized for its overall academic excellence and fostering an environment of learning and growth for all of its students, helping them to reach their full potential.
“We are fortunate to have some of the top schools in the nation in our area, and I congratulate Lincoln Trail Elementary School for receiving this tremendous award,” State Rep. Stephen Bartels (R-Eckerty) said. “This award is a testament to the hard work of our students, parents, educators and administrators in creating a place of high achievement and learning.”
The Blue Ribbon School Program is part of a larger national effort that aims to identify the best school leadership and teaching practices.
Over 312 public and 50 private schools from around the country will be recognized during a ceremony November 14-15 in Washington, D.C. In its 37-year history, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed this coveted award on more than 9,000 schools.
