Martha Henrietta Winkler, 98, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Henrietta was born in Spencer County on March 26, 1925, to the late William and Ethel (Barnett) Mayo.
She was a member of Salem UCC Heusler and enjoyed sewing, needle crafts, coloring and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Winkler, her sister Clara Louise (Tooty) Winkler, and her brother, Eugene Frances Mayo.
She is survived by children, Charlie Winkler and his wife, Marsha, and Tony Winkler and his wife, Terry; her grandchildren, Tammy Goebel and her husband, Nathan, April Vindhurst and her husband, Rick, Cathy Ahman and her husband, Robert, Jessica Duke and her husband, Ben, Chris Winkler and his wife, Beth, and Johnny Winkler and his wife, Shannon; 14 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Pauline Meece.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Ron Carpenter and Pastor Al Schmitz officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, at the funeral home.
