Mary K. Payne, 91, of Rockport, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Waters of Rockport.
Mary was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on June 27, 1933, to the late George and Mary Pauline (Newman) Kuegel.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Altar Society, and Rockport American Legion Post 254 Auxiliary. Mary was known for her infectious laugh.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Payne, who passed away in 2007; her siblings, George Kuegel Jr., Paul Kuegel, Albert Kuegel, Martin Kuegel, Ann Keelyn and Sue Yannacone.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Payne, Cindy Wade (Mike), Jeff Payne (Julie), Debbie Laue, and Faye Gregory (Brian); her grandchildren, Brian Payne (Amber), Eric Laue (Mindon), Rachel Wade (David LeDoux), Meredith Scranton (Riley), Kristin Laue, Valarie Pulk (Stephen), Amanda Laue, Michaela Gregory, Megan Tudor (Sam), Brittany Lupinski (Teddy) and Keith Gregory; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Mike Kuegel (Dorothy), Bill Kuegel, David Kuegel (Suzi), Theresa Rhodes (Martin), Paula Al Zubaidil, and Helen O’Bryan (Paul); her sisters-in-law, Susie Buckles and Dorothy Kuegel; and her brother-in-law, Jim Payne (Monica).
Services are 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 547 Elm St., Rockport, with Father Ron Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 1, and 9 until 9:45 a.m. Monday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
